GS 1998 Article 1 – Opening

On behalf of the Church at Fergus, its counsellor, Rev. J. G. Slaa, calls the meeting to order. He asks the brothers to sing from Psalm 122: 1, 2, reads from Ephesians 1, and leads in prayer.

Thereafter he addresses the meeting with some fitting introductory words (as found in appendix 1).
