GS 1983 ARTICLE 11 – Reopening

The chairman requests to sing Psalm 36:2. He reads Isaiah 12, and leads in prayer. The vice-chairman, Rev. J. Geertsema, takes the floor to congratulate the Rev. and Mrs. VanOene with the fact that they may this day commemorate and celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary. He expresses the joy of Synod and gratitude to the Lord

that such a day may be experienced. He wishes Rev. and Mrs. VanOene the Lord’s bless­ing for the future.

The Rev. VanOene responds gratefully, also on behalf of his wife who is present at Synod, for the best wishes expressed.
