Committee II on Translation and Revision Church Order presents:
Materials:
- a. Report Deputies Translation Church Order, 1,6 (including Draft Translation, (see Supplement 12);
- b. Overture of the Church at Carman, Man., III, 10;
- c. Overture of the Regional Synod of Ontario, III, 27, sub 9;
- d. Overture of the Church at Orangeville, Ont., III, 28;
- e. Overture of the Church at Edmonton, Alta, III, 32.
Recommendations:
That Synod
- 1. provisionally accept the presented draft-translation of the Church Order with the following changes:
- a. “particular synod” into “Regional Synod”;
- b. the word “secular” in Art. 28, 71, 79 into “civil”;
- 2. appoint a Committee with the mandate
- a. to improve the wording of the draft-translation wherever necessary;
- b. to revise the Church Order where such revision would profit the Churches (Art 86 C.0.);
- c. to report to the next General Synod;
- d. to send a copy of their report to the Churches;
- 3. pass on to the Committee the appendices to III,27, sub 9, and III,32.
